Rainfall intensity is expected to decrease in Bengaluru and surrounding districts, offering relief to many parts of Karnataka, especially the coastal and Malnad regions. According to IMD, while rainfall will remain widespread till Monday, it will become scattered over the next five days. Despite normal overall monsoon rainfall, South Interior Karnataka has a 23% deficit, with Bengaluru Urban facing a 31% shortfall. In contrast, heavy pre-monsoon showers had filled reservoirs like KRS Dam early, which currently holds 47.63 TMC of water. Northern districts like Bagalkot continue to see strong inflows into Krishna River dams, including Almatti, which has 87.74 TMC stored.
