Mizoram MP Donates Mobile Blood Donation Bus for Public Health Services

On July 5, Mizoram’s lone Lok Sabha MP, Richard Vanlalhmangaihna, donated a ₹18-lakh, 12-seater Tata Winger blood donation bus to Aizawl Civil Hospital’s blood bank. The bus, received by the Association for Blood Donation (ABVD), aims to support Mizoram’s strong culture of voluntary blood donation. The MP praised the state’s tradition of selfless giving. ABVD President C. Lalnunnema noted this was the first blood donation bus donated from the MPLADS fund. The vehicle will help the CHA Model Blood Bank reach its 93.71% target for 2024–25 through statewide blood donation camps involving churches, students, police, NGOs, and volunteers.
