Tripura CM Announces Awards and Renames Agartala Town Hall to Honour Dr. Syama Prasad Mookerjee

To mark Dr. Shyama Prasad Mukherjee's 125th birth anniversary, Tripura Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha announced two awards in his honour and the renaming of Agartala Town Hall after him, along with the installation of his statue. Speaking at a commemorative event, Dr. Saha introduced the Dr. Mukherjee Award for Teachers’ Day and an Excellence Award for service in various fields. Emphasizing Dr. Mukherjee’s enduring ideals, he linked them with PM Modi’s reforms, such as triple talaq abolition. Dr. Saha reaffirmed the state’s commitment to inclusive development, inspired by Mukherjee’s vision of a unified, socially transformed Akhand Bharat.
