Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma, along with Agriculture Minister Atul Bora, inaugurated the ₹112 crore Bhagadatta Flyover-2 at Rukminigaon, Guwahati, on July 6. The 660-metre four-lane flyover aims to ease traffic congestion along the busy Dispur–Six Mile corridor. Completed in just nine months, ahead of schedule, ₹88 crore was spent on core structural work and the rest on finishing and allied infrastructure. Named after King Bhagadatta of ancient Pragjyotishpur, the flyover reflects Assam’s blend of heritage and modern development. CM Sarma called it a symbol of rapid urban progress and improved connectivity for Guwahati's growing traffic needs.
