Government Notifications to Be Issued in Bodo Language, Announces Assam CM

On Sunday, Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma announced that all government notifications will be translated into Bodo in the 13 districts inhabited by the Bodo community, fulfilling a demand by the All Bodo Students Union (ABSU). At the launch of ‘Bodoland Speaks: From Vision to Action’ under the Bodoland Happiness Mission, Sarma also conferred the Bodoland Lifetime Achievers Award to 18 individuals for contributions to folk culture. He praised the peace achieved in the Bodoland Territorial Region (BTR) since the 2020 tripartite accord and emphasized the importance of continued peace and harmony for economic progress in the region.
