Continuous rainfall in Himachal Pradesh has led to 80 deaths due to cloudbursts, landslides, and accidents, according to the State Disaster Management Authority (SDMA). Mandi district was worst affected, reporting 17 deaths. From June 20 to July 7, 128 people were injured, 320 houses fully damaged, and over ₹692 crore in infrastructure losses recorded. Additionally, 10,254 livestock and poultry deaths occurred. Rescue operations involving NDRF, SDRF, Army, and others are ongoing, with drones and sniffer dogs deployed. 241 water supply schemes were damaged, including a ₹121 crore project. The MeT department issued a yellow alert for four districts until Wednesday.
