IBM Unveils New Chips and Servers to Simplify AI Deployment

On Tuesday, IBM announced its next-generation Power11 servers and chips, marking its first major update since 2020’s Power10. The new Power11 system, offering improved power efficiency, aims to simplify AI operations for businesses. It integrates chips and software to boost reliability and security, and supports near-zero downtime with autonomous patching and ransomware detection. IBM’s Power Cyber Vault provides cybersecurity aligned with NIST standards. Set to launch on July 25, Power11 will later integrate with IBM’s Spyre AI chip. IBM emphasizes AI and hybrid cloud solutions, competing with Intel and AMD in sectors like finance, manufacturing, and healthcare.
