EU warns of severe repercussions from Trump tariffs.

The EU's Ursula von der Leyen has warned that the bloc is ready to retaliate against new US tariffs imposed by President Donald Trump's administration. Meanwhile, Taiwan has condemned the tariffs as "unreasonable."

While announcing sweeping new tariffs on what he dubbed "Liberation Day," President Donald Trump displayed charts outlining the levies to be imposed on imports from various nations.

According to the figures presented, the U.S. is setting tariff rates at approximately half of what most affected countries currently impose. In some cases, the tariffs will match the rates levied by those nations.
