Manipur Governor Honours Scouts with Rajya Puruskar at 11th Governor’s Rally

Manipur Governor Ajay Kumar Bhalla today presided over the 11th Governor’s Rally and Rajya Puruskar Award Distribution Ceremony, organized by the Manipur State Bharat Scouts & Guides at the Durbar Hall of Raj Bhavan in Imphal.

In a momentous recognition of service and dedication, 30 Scouts were presented with the prestigious Rajya Puruskar Awards by the Governor. Commending the recipients, Governor Bhalla applauded their unwavering commitment, resilience, and dedication to selfless service.

Addressing the gathering, the Governor highlighted the impactful yet often understated role of the Scouts movement. He acknowledged their contributions in promoting literacy, protecting the environment, aiding during natural disasters, and fostering peace and harmony in society.

Encouraging the young Scouts to uphold strong moral values and embrace social responsibility, Governor Bhalla emphasized the need to cultivate mental strength in today’s digitally driven world. He spoke about the importance of nurturing the “inner net”—a deeper connection to values, emotions, and responsibilities—over excessive reliance on the internet.

The Governor also urged the youth to actively participate in building a "Viksit Bharat" (Developed India) by 2047, aligning their efforts with the nation’s broader developmental goals.

The ceremony was graced by several dignitaries, including MLA Kh. Raghumani Singh, Lt. General (Retd.) K. Himalaya Singh, and Director General of Police Rajiv Singh, among others.
