Three Startups from Assam Shine at National Innovation Challenge

In a significant achievement for Assam’s startup landscape, three startups nurtured under the Assam Startup initiative have excelled at the Startup MahaRathi Challenge — India’s largest innovation contest for startups.

At the event held on April 5 at Bharat Mandapam, Pragati Maidan in New Delhi, Dream Hives Private Limited (Agritech), Quintinno Labs Private Limited (Electric Vehicles), and GrowHub – Connecting B2B Private Limited (B2B Sector) were lauded for their innovative ideas and vision. Each startup secured a cash prize of Rs 3 lakh.

Dream Hives, one of the Northeast’s pioneering meaderies, is breaking new ground in the agritech segment with its innovative approach. The startup produces mead — a traditional honey-based alcoholic beverage — and infuses it with indigenous ingredients like King chilli, ginger, and pineapple. Their goal is to craft a premium, experiential product that celebrates the rich culinary heritage of the region while appealing to contemporary tastes.

Meanwhile, Quintinno Labs has introduced QUINT, India’s first portable power bank for electric vehicles. Designed to fit in a car boot, QUINT provides a backup charge sufficient for 35–40 km, addressing range anxiety and paving the way for cleaner mobility solutions in the country.

GrowHub – Connecting B2B Private Limited also stood out, further highlighting the diverse talent and innovative spirit emerging from Assam’s startup ecosystem.
